Julie M. Hall, MD is a psychiatrist in private practice serving patients in Los Angeles and neighboring areas of Westwood Village, Brentwood Heights, Bel Air, and Beverly Hills. After completing her undergraduate studies in biological sciences at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Dr. Hall earned her medical degree from the University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry at the University of California Los Angeles/Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. During her fellowship at the same institute, she focused on child and adolescent psychiatry.Dr. Hall is committed to helping you with your journey to mental health wellness. As a board certified psychiatrist, she can help with a variety of psychiatric issues for patients of all ages. Her specialties include child and adolescent psychiatry, mood disorders, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, ADHD, and thought disorders. Instead of focusing solely on medication management, Dr. Hall uses a combination of medication and the appropriate type of psychotherapy to help her patients get well. She has experience and training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mentalization based therapy and structured family therapy. Dr. Hall has a flexible schedule, often seeing patients during weekend and evening hours. If needed, she can even conduct appointments online or over the phone.
