Established in 1993, Jeffrey Goodman Special Care Clinic offers gay-sensitive health care services. It offers medical care to more than 1,800 HIV positive patients every year. The clinic provides treatment and testing services for sexually transmitted diseases. Jeffrey Goodman Special Care Clinic offers sexual health programs that receive over 7,500 visits every year for testing and counseling services. In addition, it provides case management, legal assistance and mental health counseling, as well as several therapies that include chiropractic care, nutritional counseling. The clinic is staffed by HIV/AIDS specialists, including board-certified physicians, social services case managers, counselors and a nutritionist. It also offers on-site laboratory services. The clinic is a part of the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center, which provides health care services of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
