Let me just give you a run down of my experience here, me and my boyfriend chose to eat at cabo cantina on Saturday versus a more upscale Japanese restaurant to try and save a few bucks, BAD BAD IDEA! You definitely get what you pay for, I mean we were eating in a shack! But hey we thought we would be optimistic and see what there happy hour was all about! We decided we would park in the cabo parking lot that stated it was FREE for CUSTOMERS, which we were customers so we parked there! As my boyfriend waited for a ticket from the attendant I headed in to get a table. When I got to the front there was a guy in a red "host" t-shirt with his back to me as he talked to a waitress carelessly about non work related topics (I could hear the conversation.) Corrected date 8/9/14. Finally the guy wearing the host shirt realized he was at work, and asked me for my id. He very briefly looked at it and handed back, I looked at the tables confused since he was the host, but apparently I was to sit where I wanted and had to figure that out on my own. I decided I wanted to sit by the window with the view of the strip, well that seat doesn't get service unless you wave down a waitress. We finally got a girl to come over who seemed to be very flustered and overwhelmed. She brought us some water and asked if we wanted a drink I told her I would take a margarita, she left and didn't return with my drink for a while. When she dropped it off she didn't ask if we wanted an appetizer or if there was anything we needed, just dropped the drink off and rushed away. We noticed the table next to us, more center to the room became available and we decided to move over due to a loud group of girls drinking right next to that table. We sat there looking at the menu deciding on entrees since we had already known what appetizer we wanted by then. Our waitress still hadn't come to check on us, but was helping other tables around us who had sat down long after us. At that point we got frustrated and waved her down to give her the appetizer order, when she came to get it she had an attitude as if we were taking up her time. We let her go thinking she would return shortly after for our main order... She hadn't returned for maybe 10 minutes, mind you there's maybe only 4 other tables she's helping. So again we waived her down as we were hungry and wanted to get our orders going. She came back again with the same attitude, we both ordered the same item and she asked if we wanted certain items, and I noticed she asked him if he wanted hot sauce but she didn't ask me because she was more worried about her other orders. Not once did we receive a smile or any type of even slightly decent customer service. Finally after ordering and still not receiving our appetizer 20 minutes later we decided we wanted to leave. We waived the waitress down again to let her know we were unsatisfied and just wanted to leave and go somewhere else. She got upset and said she needed to get her manager since I had drank half of the margarita. We waited for about 5 minutes before he came down to ask us what the problem was. We told him about the customer service, her attitude, how slow she was and unhelpful, and everything else I've already typed. The waitress stood there and started to get defensive as if she was on top of everything and smiling when she knew she wasn't. The manager then winked at her and told her to leave and she smiled as if she knew she was not going to have consequences. The manager decided he would comp my drink with no apologies. We decided we would leave at that point thinking everything had been settled. We walked back to the FREE parking lot to leave, the attendant let us know without validation it would cost 20$ to leave the property. At that point I was irate. We went to eat at this establishment hoping to save some money and ended up giving it away. I went back in to find the manager and same waitress standing at the bar with there backs to me talking and laughing
