Established in 1940, the Avalon-Carver Community Center offers a range of direct and supportive services for individuals affected by alcohol and other addictive substances. It provides various publicly and privately funded programs for low-income individuals and families. The center utilizes holistic approach to satisfy individuals physical, mental and spiritual needs. The Avalon-Carver Community Center offers anger management and individual, group and family counseling services. It provides alcohol and drug prevention programs to elementary and junior high schools. The center also offers programs on parenting skills that include group involvement, education classes, support groups, family meetings and counseling. The Avalon-Carver Community Center is located in Los Angeles.
