Founded in 1978, Alternative Living for the Aging is engaged in providing safe, affordable housing alternatives for low-income older people. Located in West Hollywood, Calif., it is a non-profit agency that organizes various housing programs for the well-being and security of seniors. The community also offers a free housemate matching program that facilitates in matching seniors with other seniors, mid-age, and younger people above 18 in their own homes, apartments and condos. Alternative Living for the Aging has Cooperative Apartment Community services for seniors 55 and 62 years of age and older.
