Lorton Station Elementary School provides educational services to more than 1,000 students in kindergarten through grade six. Located in Lorton, Va., the school conducts classes in English, math, science and social studies. It offers the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. It provides special education classes to gifted and talented students. Lorton Station Elementary School operates a parent-teacher association that conducts various fundraising events, including book fairs, musical shows, and movie and family nights. The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as art, band, music, dance, and technical and physical education. Its staff includes a psychologist, social worker and speech pathologist. In addition, the school provides food, transportation, guidance counseling and medical care. Lorton Station Elementary School is a part of Fairfax County Public Schools.
