Lyman High School offers educational opportunities to students in grades nine through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 2,000 students and offer courses, such as math, foreign languages, English, computer technology and networking, electronics, Web designing, TV production, science and social studies. The school's athletic teams are known as the Greyhounds. Its fall sports include football, swimming, golf, volleyball, cross country and bowling. The school also offers various winter sports, such as basketball, wrestling and soccer, as well as spring sports that include baseball, track and field, softball, tennis and lacrosse. It houses a magnet program called the Institute for Engineering that prepare students for advanced educational and job related experiences in fields related to engineering. The school has a wide variety of clubs and after school activities, including academic team, anime and art clubs, band, beta club, chorus, college club and dance team. Lyman High School is a part of the Seminole County School District and is located in Longwood, Fla.
