Provided by YP.comThey need to find employees to work the gun counter that aren't so busy chatting with each other that they COMPLETELY IGNORE their customers. If it happens once or twice, I get it, no big deal, but this has happened repeatedly!

Provided by YPmobileGood luck calling in, I tried 6 times unsuccessfully before making the 25 minute drive to ask if they even carry or can order a certain gun in, when I get there, the 16 year old behind the counter won't stop talking to his friend long enough to help me either, I finally have to go get someone else to call for help to the gun counter. Then this guy comes over and answers 2 questions and shows me a gun I have no interest in and says it's better. Well then I say I want to order he says no problem and walks off and disappears for 10 minutes, I find him in another department talking to a girl about a date. I got mad, found the store manager, and waved the $500 for my pistol in her face and said you won't be getting this today or ever again. Seems to be everyone's experience.

Provided by YP.comNormally I've been very happy with this store until today. In October 2012, We purchased a crossbow for my son. When he went to use the bow in the back yard for the first time recently as he had been out of the country, he pulled the bow back and it locked in place and would not fire and is currently still stuck in the locked back position. It had obviously been put together incorrectly. Today, we went to The Academy in Longview, TX where we had purchased it and tried to talk to the manager about getting it fixed. I say try because she would not discuss the problem with us, stating that "all crossbow sales are final." I tried to explain to her that the store had put it together wrong and that it was a display model and she looked at me and said, "all crossbow sales are final." This manager was incredibly rude to us as she actually walked away from us while we were still talking to her. I find it difficult to understand how a customer can purchase a display model that the store put together and that same store will refuse to even consider having it fixed, talk to us about having it fixed, or tell us how to have it fixed, even at our own cost. She would not discuss anything with us, her response to all of our inquires was "all crossbow sales are finale." I don't know if the manager had a bad day or what but because of this and the managers rude behavior and attitude toward us, I will not have anything to do with the Longview store again. If the store was unwilling to fix the problem that they caused, all the manager had to do was direct us how to get the bow fixed. She didn't even want to take the time to do that for us.
