HOME MISSION LEARN MORE ABOUT US DAWN Mitchell is the owner and director of little bird MONTESSORI-INSPIRED preschool. Dawn has always worked with children in ONE WAY or Another. Including raising HER OWN TWO children. Sunflower and ponder. Prior to moving to Colorado SHE worked with special needs children in California and Hawaii after a career AS a massage therapist. SHE began teaching yoga and taking early childhood education classes AT Montessori casa International. During this time SHE discovered the Montessori method AS a natural WAY of opening doors for the wide eyed curiosity and intelligence present in ALL children. Dawn studied Montessori for three years. Focusing on infants of 6 weeks UP to children of 5 years of AGE. During this time SHE developed the concept of little bird AS an in home Montessori inspired preschool with a limited group size. Little bird welcomes young children and their families into an open minded. Positive environment that Fosters creativity and challenges each child to develop on their OWN level.
