Oh my God! If you haven't already found this place, you'd better get your shoes on and get to the City Caf. Tucked in the little strip mall with Longmont's Flea Market, and beside the Danish Furniture store, the City Caf is fighting the always-uphill "location, location, location" battle. In the process of getting their liquor license so they can offer beer and wine, everything else you could want is already there.Open Tuesday thru Sunday, 7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., CC has a yummy menu with meals that range from $7.20-$10.99, and the portion sizes are very generous. The restaurant is clean and roomy, the staff is pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu and the food items, and seem to genuinely like the customers, their co-workers, and the owner, who also happens to be the chef.Ginny, the owner, ran the kitchen at Mike O'Shays for 17 years. She brings all the years of experience, and none of the recipes. Her menu is fresh and exciting. From chile rellenos made with the larger, slightly sweeter poblano peppers instead of the standard Anaheim peppers everyone else uses, to Frito-crusted grilled cheese sandwiches, everything is a bit different, a bit tastier, a bit less expensive, and well worth driving just a bit out of the way to find the City Caf!

Our new favorite lunch venue. We love this place. Been there a few times now and tried different dishes; everything is always fresh delicious. Omlettes are fluffy; salad greens not bagged; homemade sausage and sauces. Today I had the veggie sandwich which was so packed with beautiful veggies and cheese I could hardly get my mouth around it! Super good. Staff is pleasant and attentive. Daily specials are always interesting. Not your typical fare. This place is a Longmont gem.
