Orono High School, located in Long Lake, Minn., is a coeducational school that provides academic and postsecondary education to students in grades nine through 12. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, foreign languages, history, geography, science and social studies. It offers more than 60 elective courses, and advanced placement courses in English and mathematics. It also offers American College Test and Scholastic Aptitude Test preparation classes. The high school additionally offers courses in marketing and industrial technology, and the National Honor Society program. Additionally, the school provides extracurricular activities, such as music and band, and organizes debate competitions. The high school has a library and media center that provides a large collection of curriculum books, research material, ProQuest software, Shakespeare literature books and access to the Internet. Orono High School provides various sports activities, such as football, soccer, cross country, basketball, gymnastics, swimming and tennis. It is a public school and enrolls more than 800 students.
