The worst thing that has ever happened to me. It was my first night to visit my good friend at Monmouth University. I got to his dorm, I drove my car knowing I would stay overnight. So I said, I would like to go to a bar Chris. He said no problem, we tried to get an uber but unfortunately none were around. We decided to call the closest taxi service. It was Shore Taxi. So I called the company. A very annoying woman picked up and said "what do you want" I said can I please have a taxi sent to Monmouth freshman dorms lot 6? She responded with "be there in 2 minutes"... I waited 45 minutes till the taxi finally had arrived. When It arrived me and my friend hopped in. We said hi and introduced ourselves. He was an older African gentleman. While he was certainly no gentleman. He responded with "sorry I don't talk to white people". At this point we decided not to react. Gave him the address and we were on our way. So midway there I felt a very painful sensation, I ignored it, then my friend jumped out of his seat! He said I was just stung by a bee I think! Then bam! Another painful sensation to my left leg! And another one! I turned on the light to my iPhone to find about 7 massive spiders ! Not just that, but we also saw a massive cockroach. I said sir do you have bug spray we must get rid of these! He said "don't you dare think about touching one of bugs white boy". I didn't say anything because I was absolutely terrified. In utter shock I decided I must say something. When I then realized he had a massive knife in his sock, I decided to reserve my thoughts to myself. So we continued, I was being bit constantly. Then he took out one of those shot sized vodka bottles and started downing them. At this point I just said stop the car, he stopped; then I heard click click, the doors has suddenly locked. I said please let us out sir! He said "first you pay me, I know you white boys are wealthy, and 30% tip" we had been in the car for 25 minutes and were forced to pay him a fee that shouldn't have been more than $20, but had to pay $80! We got out and he screamed "so long white boys". I know this story may seemed far fetched, but it is all to true! I then quickly reached for my phone to call the company to tell them what had transpired. I told the woman... And she laughed! This was the worst experience I have ever had. I am attending Fordham Law school, and fully attend to press charges.

Horrible service . Cab drove past my house twice and I called more than 7 times and they did not answer then the line was busy for a long time. I had to be home on time to put my kids to sleep. & thanks to shore cab, I did no such thing. DO NOT recommend. #boyswillbeboys

Shore Cab is fine, but UBER is much better. They have new cars, have a $30 or first FREE ride and you know exactly when they are coming. More drivers are now in the Jersey Shore to handle the demand. Use alisons231 or sydneys371 promotion code on the first ride.

Thank you to the dispatcher and driver who helped with getting me home fast after my car broke down. I was in the freezing cold with my daughter and they came within minutes.

Thank you for always coming out of your way and getting me from the ferry without fail. Never late always there when the ferry pulls in. Thank god because after a long day in the city it's important for reliable service ;)

I lost a wallet in one of the cars one night after the bar. I didn't even realize it. I called the next day and thankfully they found my wallet and all my money and credit cards were all still there. Very honest. It was all the money I had in the world in so grateful.

I'm a regular customer and call every day to get my kids to school. They are there in 5 to 6 minutes and very careful driving. My kids are on first name basis with most of them. That's the kind of service most cab companies should have. Thank you also tobthe dispatchers who are always cheerful and know me by name. Now that's impeccable customer service.

I have to say shore cab is incredibly reliable! Fast service! Polite, honest drivers. I've used other cabs in the area and none ever got me to work on time. I'm always early now. I recommend shore cab to all my co-workers. Thank you for service!

I called a cab and I had to wait for 30 minutes for a car, instead of 5 minutes (as they said). Then I had to travel around the town waiting for a driver to drop two other passengers. It's not the first time when it happened. They take to a car as much passengers as they can and then everybody has to wait. Also the drivers are rude. Terrible service.

Dispatcher was more interested at cursing at somebody else in office than taking my call, very loud rude n crude!! Fri 8-10-12 between 9:00 n 10:00 pm, they need to learn some professionalism n isn't cursing ILLEGAL over taxi radio n phone?!

Cab took 20 min, after they told me 10-15, no prob, driver was friendly n rates are very reasonable n it was bar closing time after all, when everyone wants a cab at the same time

I only took the cab service once. and the ride and the atmosphere was Fine. the driver seemed nice. we talked a little bit. told me he had been driving a cab for a long time. it was my first ride in a cab and i felt a little strange but that more cause it was my first time in that company's cab. the driver even came into the place i went to make sure all was OK since i was taking a while in the bank. it gave me an idea of what its like and it was an experience. but i do know why people have their car or drive themselves its some times easier than waiting or paying some one else but its Fine.
