Provided by YPmobileIt was one of the cooler nights and we were craving some soupy soondubu! We've heard good things about Sura so in we went. I suggest parking right in the back and not on the street (unless you're super at parallel parking). I ordered the combination of kalbi and seafood tofu soup and 2 tofu tacos (all for myself!! lol) and my boyfriend ordered his bulgogi japche and a kimchi tofu soup. We got our side dishes of kimchi, potatoes, bean sprouts, some root that I forgot the name of, 2 eggs for the soup. While we were munching on the sides, our waitress brought my tacos out. These were the best slightly crunch tofu pieces I've ever had! And I loved their spicy sauce they used. It had some sweet kick to it. And ok... I ended up giving a taco to my boyfriend lol.
Their kalbi came out steaming hot and this was the highlight of my dinner! Chewy, good quality meat, and also I didn't have to cook it myself. This is always a plus because the Korean bbq smell didn't get alllll over my hair and clothes like when I sit in an AYCE kbbq place.
The tofu soup was amazingly hot and warmed me up well. Boyfriend and I both got number 10 spicy and it was perfect and still not spicy enough to make us cry. We had fun peeling the good sized shrimps in my soup. Boyfriend's japche came out piping hot as well and it was like heaven in our mouths! Adding the meat was extra but it was well worth it cuz you get tons of it and their bulgogi was also of high grade quality.
The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was charming and they had some music videos going on, which was pleasant and made me feel like I was eating at home. I also liked the warm toned lighting a lot. The location was pretty good, it's pretty close to the freeway and not too far from Downtown.
It was pretty easy on the wallet too. ~45 for the dinner portion of 3 people and I was more than well fed!
Definitely coming back for more homemade tasting tofu soup and more.

Provided by YPmobileKorean tofu soup is hard to find in Long Beach, but this little hole in the wall serves it up well, with good side dishes. they also serve some good looking Korean tacos, I gotta try those sometime. Prices are low, which is a plus in my opinion!
