The Refuse Collection Division is a part of the Environmental Services Bureau, which is governed by the Public Works Department. The division provides a range of waste management and disposal services for more than 100,000 residents and over 5,500 businesses. The division offers automated refuse collection solutions weekly. In addition, it maintains a fleet of trucks. The Refuse Collection Division provides a variety of information about waste materials and placement requirements and specifications. The division also arranges for special collection visits for items, such astelevisions, tires, refrigerators, computers, monitors and debris. The Public Works Department is a part of the government of Long Beach City in California.
