Ranbir Sohal owner of Eddy’s Auto Body & Paint took over the business in December 2004.The center has the capacity of over 32,000 sq ft and is equipped with 13 bays, 2 heated spray booths, a 5-post frame machine, 3 lifts, and an A/C recharge machine.The business is almost 60 years old having started in 1947 by the original owner – Eddy. Ranbir is the 4th series owner of Eddy’s Auto Body and paint shop. “I saw an opportunity a become an integral part of a business that was aging and run down and turn it around into profitable venture by reinforcing the underlying values of trust, commitment and quality”, says Ranbir Sohal.The main services offered are domestic and foreign repairs, major collision repairs, complete detailing service, refinishing and painting, after market upgrades and special rates on car rental, free pickup and delivery. We also cover insurance claims. “I have a large business-to-business fleet account and many of our customers are referrals that pay cash or go through the insurance company”, explains Ranbir. “We work with all insurance companies in hope to service all our clients’ needs”. Ranbir is trained in two different (Collision) estimating software – ADP Shoplink and Mitchell Ultramate. He also attended painter certification programs with DuPont and Sherwin Williams paint companies.Ranbir being from an R&D back ground hopes to bring SOP and streamlining to the Auto Repair Business. Currently he has developed the Fast track system which allows him to repair a large number of cars quickly and still deliver Quality. It’s all in the planning he says.
