- Primary CareSome insurance plans, mainly HMO's, still do require a referral from your primary care physician. Most PPO plans do not require a referral. Please check your insurance card or contact your insurance company if in doubt.
- Stress ManagementThere are three core components contributing to your PSYCHOLOGICAL health asset. Optimism is considered a strong psychological success proponent, which is associated with less risk of cardiovascular disease, a shorter duration of colds, and prolonged survival in cancer. Stress Management is imperative for achieving optimism. Stress after surgery impedes wound healing, causes oxidative stress, promotes infection, and muscle wasting. Managing your stress by learning the relaxation response meditation, or socializing has shown to promote healing and control pain. - NeurosurgeryWe strive to provide the most up to date and safest procedures for all our patients. In order to attain this goal, we use a procedure known as Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) during the course of your surgery. IONM is a set of procedures that will monitor the functional integrity of the spinal cord and peripheral nerves during the course of the surgery. The information obtained from the IONM procedures will be communicated to your surgeon and other members of the surgical team in real time in order to provide the safest outcomes possible for your procedure. IONM has been used in orthopedic spine and neurosurgery for more than 20 years and is shown to help reduce the risk of negative surgical outcomes such as paralysis, numbness, weakness, or stroke. IONM of the spinal cord and nerve roots during spine surgery is deemed medically necessary by our surgeons and is considered the standard of care in our community.
- Sports Medicine"I first came to Dr. Jamrich and the Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic in 2014 when my NCAA sports injuries finally caught up with me at age 57. After Dr. Jamrich ordered an MRI based on my symptoms, the Spine clinic called me the next day and required me to return to the office ASAP. Dr. Jamrich saw I had 4 spinal cord compression's in my neck. Two weeks later, and under the excellent supervision off the staff, I was to follow strict pre-surgery orders that eliminated bacteria during surgery, I went in for surgery. My situation was so severe that Dr. Jamrich had to preform two surgeries two days apart from each other in order to correct my situation. I had surgery on Wednesday where he went into my neck from the front and removed all threats to my spinal cord, and then went in from the back of my neck on that Friday and fussed 5 levels with titanium. For such an extensive critical surgery, I recovered well and Dr. Jamrich saved my life. Three years later at age 60, my second old injury caused my legs to go numb, and Dr. Jamrich again fixed my sciatica lower back and I am mostly pain free and already working out in just under six months. Dr. Jamrich is the only Dr. I will ever let touch my neck or back after hearing the horror stories from others who had back surgery." - T. Joseph
