General Info
Dr. Jesse Chrastil is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee arthritis. His practice focuses on hip and knee replacement surgery for advanced arthritis and revision hip and knee replacements. Dr. Chrastil performs direct anterior hip replacements, which is a muscle-sparing approach to hip replacement surgery. This approach allows for improved initial mobility, decreased pain, and earlier discharge from the hospital. He also has extensive experience with outpatient surgery where eligible patients are able to receive their hip or knee replacement surgery and return home the same day. Dr. Chrastil grew up in rural Nebraska where he obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he graduated with High Honors and as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He pursued his career in orthopedic surgery with a residency at the University of Utah, where he also completed an additional year of sub-specialty training in adult reconstruction and hip preservation. The year of fellowship provided him with focused training in anterior hip replacement, minimally invasive joint replacement surgeries, complex hip and knee revision surgeries, and hip preservation surgeries. After training he moved with his family to the Denver-metro area where he practiced at Kaiser Permanente for six years. There he completed over three thousand successful arthroplasty surgeries. Dr. Chrastil has received multiple accolades over his career for his patient-centered approach to medicine. He takes time to educate patients and their families about operative and non-operative approaches to arthritic hips and knees. Additionally, he brings Midwest values and honest answers to the often complex experience of medicine and surgery. “I am grateful to practice orthopedic surgery because I can help people limited by arthritic pain return to activities they have always enjoy
