General Info

This is a great place for children to come to before they attend preschool. I have been providing daycare for over 20 years and have come to realize that infants and toddlers benefit from individually oriented, loving, home based care that is apart from the busyness of older children. The slower pace of A Caring Place Daycare helps little ones learn to concentrate and feel free to explore the environment. This is a very supportive and stimulating place with play centers set up that include age appropriate toys and equipment to encourage crawling, walking, and development. I have slides in my living room! We do have story time, and singing or music time that are interactive. The children can learn colors, number, and letter concepts along with language. We play simple games together, like building a sidewalk out of carpet squares and walking, jumping etc. along together. The children also gain skills and self esteem as they play independently with puzzles and a large variety of toys. I bring the infants along with the toddlers to watch and enjoy our company. There are grass and paved areas in the play yard with more slides, and playhouses, swings and bikes to play with. I provide food, most of which is organic and can accommodate vegetarians or lactose intolerant children. Each child has their own bed or crib with bedding. I focus on the growth of each child's individual abilities and talents while teaching social skills.
