This is the first shop I been to in Chicago and I would encourage you to come to Fatima's , their very fast so you won't miss anything that you have to do later on throughout the day. This is my first shop I been to ever because I came from st.louis and my friends always done my hair, so I would encourage everybody to come here.

Talented, very professional, very warm staff with customer-focused attitudes. In addition, the salon is organized and very clean. But most, importantly, I left with a very attractive style (large twists) and my head did not hurt, either during the braiding or afterwards. This was my first time at Fatima's (8/26/12) and it was a great experience. I highly recommend this salon.

Fatima's African Hair Braiding is the best kept secret in the Western Suburbs. But with her talented staff, warm personality and professional atmosphere, it won't be a secret for long. Fatima is an expert braider as well as a licensed cosmetologist who focuses not just on hairstyles, but on healthy hair for her clients. The prices are more than reasonable considering the level of service that you revceive. She and another braider completed my micros in 4 hours. You no longer need to travel into the city for beautiful braids and healthy hair. Fatima is the best. You will not be dissapointed. I am so grateul to her for such exceptional service. She has restored my confidence in great hair stylists.

TERRIBLE! STAY AWAY! Broken dryer made what should have been 2-3 hrs (Fatima's estimate for comb twist on medium length hair) closer to 6-plus IF I had stayed. After nearly 4 hours I finally left with wet hair and a ton of gel that beaded and had to be shampooed out 3 days later. Fatima denied anything wrong with her dryer (swore it was set on high--further proof it was broken). I also did not appreciate her and her associates dissing Black women (was I invisible???). Last straw: getting final total out of her was like pulling teeth (I think she was ashamed to say--which she SHOULD have been). She then balked at cash, wanted credit card payment only. Also, despite my repeating what I wanted done, she did what SHE wanted. NEVER AGAIN!
