Founded in 2003, LifeStyleRx is a medically based fitness center that serves children, teenagers and adults. The center features more than 69,000 square feet of cardiovascular and strength training areas. Its facilities include a gymnasium, walking track, sauna, healing garden, swimming pools, group exercise studios and steam rooms. LifeStyleRx provides physical, occupational and water therapies. The center offers injury treatment, nutrition counseling, and pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation services. It provides weight loss and special fitness programs. LifeStyleRx employs physicians, registered nurses, exercise physiologists, registered dietitians, therapists, and personal and athletic trainers. The center s equipment includes treadmills, elliptical trainers, spin cycles, stationary bikes, cardio rowing machines, stairmills and stair steppers. Located in Livermore, Calif., it is a part of ValleyCare Health System, which is a nonprofit health system.
