Provided by YP.comGreedy, unethical owner and server...
I went to Old Mill Brewery with a Groupon yesterday. The Groupon was for $40, for which I paid $20. I have used dozens and dozens of Groupons and have never had any other restaurant add charges because I was using a Groupon. The issues that I experienced were these:
They upcharged FULL MENU PRICE on the food we had BECAUSE we used a Groupon. So, for an item that was $15.99 on the full price menu we were charged $21.39 with the Groupon upcharge, I was also charged a $1 upcharge on one other item. They also added a service charge of 18% to our ticket for a party of 2, which is usually added only for parties of 6 or more in the majority of restaurants.
The point of buying a Groupon is to get a good deal, and they definitely left me feeling insulted and ripped off instead.
The food and beer don't even matter, because of the greed of the owner and the server.
If you are a Groupon user, beware of this restaurant. Where the Groupon said "get $40 worth of american pub fare and drinks for $20", I actually got $40 worth for $34.88. That is NOT how Groupons work. They were greedy and unethical, and I am disappointed and will not be returning.

Provided by YP.commy wife and I are touring local microbrews, and after reading the scathing reviews of the place I was compelled to leave my own. This place is average for a bar - it was clean, didn't smell bad, we had EXCELLENT service from the waitress, and the food was really good - I had the meatloaf sandwich and she had the sausage sandwich - the guy next to us had a good looking burger too. It seems a tad on the pricey side for what it is, but I'm often called cheap. The down side is the beer - don't get me wrong, some drinkable brews here, but not as good as I was expecting. to their defense, the place was packed and they're probably run dry after the holidays, so they were out of a few brews I wanted to sample (stout, porter). This is a really small brewing operation, and the downside is that a few of the beers were still green. The second general observation is the light hops usage - which I like - over hoping seems to be fad these days. The real surprise here was the pils - I usually pass them by, but this one was really good. The wheat also ranked high - another surprise since I don't like wheat beers. The Lager and the red were undrinkably green, but would have been really good after a bit of aging. The brown was our favorite for the night, and she really enjoyed the apricot pils as a desert beer. The holiday brew was surprisingly hoppy in the lineup, so they can, but generally choose not to - so light on the hops is the style for the brewery. In summary, this is a neat little place with decent food, a little pricey, but in line with the downtown littleton strip, that has an overloaded, low capacity micro brewery on site. From an outsiders perspective, judging from how busy it was, what they were out of, and the green beer, this place needs another fermenter or two and/or a bright tank just to keep up with local consumption - lest quality decline causing demand to drop off.

Provided by YP.comFolks this may be the worst place on EARTH.... On Friday December 9, 2011. We had a simple party of 7 (6 Adults and one 9 yr old child) whom was looking forward to the food and further fellowship after the Church Christmas play. So I fully recommend looking at the numerous other Yelp reviews prior to patronizing this disgusting establishment and just never trying this place EVER! 51 min. to get the appetizer, 30 min to get our first beer....not good. When the Apps did arrive they were so soaked in grease they were untouchable... The beer was forgettable and the service was very poor and quite unprofessional at best. We were sat 40 feet from the bathrooms that had an overwhelming stench of reeking urine smell and every time someone opened the door it just flooded the back room with the freshly stepped into the pot-a-potty smell. The employees were using the back door on the other side of us as a place to smoke and when they opened that door we kept being inundated by their cigarette smoke.
To be Continued.....

Provided by YP.comThe sound that came out of my mouth was enough for all to step back. My friends contained me and we backed out of the foyer. Once stepping outside and my wife came back to see just in time the owner from the other side of the door pointing at me thru the glass with his finger like a gun said, "I will KILL you!"...I felt like he was running to the back to actually go get a gun and ambush me at the back of the restaurant where the parking lot and my car was located. So I called 911 not only due to my whole party being assaulted verbally and then me physically but by the THEAT to KILL me was unacceptable by any normal human being and required law enforcement to make sure my friends and I were safe to leave this hell hole after such behavior.
Littleton Police arrived and did an investigation. The place has cameras with red lights blinking like they were on and in working condition but the Owners Daddy and then LAWYER...yes LAWYER showed up and said they were not working. Because they knew I did not even lay a hand on the staff yet I am sure they got a nice show of the young owner and his very young staff man-handling me!
I stood out in the cold for 3 hours with my friends in 20 degree weather while it all came to the conclusion this was going to be a 'he said, he said' battle in court. The officers expressed our party of seven had one-in-the-same story when everyone was interviewed separately, while on the other hand officers received 20 different stories from the staff members inside the brewery. It was so bad inside that the officers came out and asked me if I hit two girls, I said "NO!" Then they came back and said that they just talked to both identified women and they stated that I never touched them, one even said on record that I was just trying to get out of the restaurant and they felt bad for me. Littleton Police said they could give us both a ticket and we could settle it in court or I could just walk away and file a complaint with all the others to the Liquor Board and Health Department. The Officers were very sympathetic to me and my friends even sharing with us that they have receive so many bad complaints from the Old Mill the owner is just burying his brewery a deeper grave and highly recommend another restaurant. The Littleton Police have already filed a Complaint with the Liquor Board against this establishment (not the first & surely not to be the last as long as the doors are unlocked) because they touched a customer in a physical manner when it was not necessary!
I have filed complaints with the BBB, Health Department, Liquor Board, Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Littleton.
The Old Mill is an unworthy establishment of even being rewarded by a single penny from anyone within ear shot of this story, so do not even think once about patronizing this place as long as the current owners are in the process of running it to the ground, steer clear while this ship is sinking. You would be better off going to McDonalds (where we ended up at the end of the night) which is located at the end of the block by the Old Mill; McDonalds did not smell like a Port-a-Potty, it was clean with a nice modern decor and had the friendliest people working with a smile on their faces behind the register even after 10pm! Kudos to McDonalds who puts the Old Mill to shame!!!
Great beer (especially the IPA) and top notch staff to go along with it. Don't forget to bring your growler. Confident about the quality of their beer and eco-friendly too, they will even fill other craftbrewery's growlers.
