If I had only known years ago about this store, that this man named Walter had the solution, my life would have been so much better! Since say around 2005, I have only purchased Red Wing boots from Walter. Walter is the most down to earth, honest, bar none knowledgeable about what your feet need. If you walk, you need to go to Walter's store as soon as you can and make yourself and your feet happy! It is a true pleasure to walk inside his store, find a comfortable place to sit and have your life changed that day! PLEASE....if you need comfortable boots or shoes, would appreciate customer service from not just a salesman, but the owner, dream of happy feet during your work day....this is the store you need to visit and then make this place a home for your feet. As a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service I can wear out a pair of shoes in 4 months. Walter is a part of a dying breed of shoe salesman that care about you and your feet... YES Red Wing shoes are more than a pair you may get from Walmart but as the saying goes,..you get what you pay for.. and Walter knows his stuff... sold me a pair of shoes and I'm on my 8th month and still going strong.. and when he advises you about his wool socks...TAKE HIM UP ON IT!!! I was a believer about wool socks and them being to hot... wont wear anything else again... His socks are GREAT ... don't leave his store with out at least one pair... I realize that a customer has options on where they buy Red Wings, but I have never found an owner of a red Wing store that knows more about great fit, proper wear and warranty than Walter, the owner. My boots and shoes are the best fit and a well made product. I still own my first pair of boots from Walters Shoes and they are still serviceable after 26 years. My last purchase (Oct, 2015) , are just being broken in and feel great. He possesses great people skills and I appreciate his attention to detail. Call me a loyal customer!

Have bought at least 30 pairs of Red Wings from Walters in the last 35 years. He knows his products and their fit and is always most helpful. Try some of the custom wool socks he carries, too. Wouldn't buy Red Wings anywhere else. Old fashion customer service.

I've been on my job for 28 years, and I've been buying my Red Wing boots from Walter for 27 of those years. I wouldn't buy my boots anywhere else.

going in today to buy my ?? pair of boots, been doing this for 10-15 years, will buy new work boots right before winter every year, they last me about a year.

Walter is very knowledgeable about the boots and shoes he sells. He answers questions and makes buying from him a great experience!! He is my ONLY source for my work boots! I know that it is cheaper to order my boots from a discount source online. It is well worth it to go see Walter and be fitted for the right boot or shoe for the job. He also sells all the products you need to take care of your investment!
