Founded in 1994, the Jones Eye Institute offers patient care, education and clinical research services. The institute provides treatment for electrophysiology and hereditary retinal diseases. It performs laser eye, cornea and anterior segment surgeries. The Jones Eye Institute also publishes various newsletters that offer information related to eye care. The institute provides medical education opportunities and resources for eye professionals. Its optical shop offers eyewear from designers and lines, including Kate Spade, Calvin Klein, Gucci and Christian Dior. The institute provides care for patients with diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and retinal detachment. It is a part of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, which serves more than 2,500 students in over six academic units. The Jones Eye Institute is a nearly 100,000-square-foot facility located in Little Rock, Ark.
