Danny and the Gene Lockwood staff are very polite and help. It's not often we overspend on brand name coats but when we do we go to Lockwoods. I also appreciate their efforts in protecting the planet by installing energy efficient lighting. Great place to do business with.

I just purchased a 500 doller tube and was treated like royalty as I walked in and as I left. A sales person even carried out the tube for me and told me to have a great day and thank you for buisness!

I love this place, they always have what i want. They have the largest selection in the state i swear. The service is second to none. I will remain a loyal customer.
I am from Hattiesburg, MS and was visiting in Little Rock. While out shopping, my boyfriend and I asked a local resident about where she purchased her The North Face jacket, and she suggested Gene Lockwood's--although she didn't buy her's there. We went there specifically to shop for The North Face apparel. A female sales person, who looked to be 40ish, greeted us on the floor with a smile and asked if we needed any help. We were checked out by a female who looked to be 18-21, and she didn't even have the decency to say "thank you" after we had just finished completing a sale for over $250. I think the management and owner should make sure that their customers at least receive a genuine "thank you" and a "smile" for spending money in their store--being that the merchandise is not inexpensive stuff!
We were about to spend about $1000 on stuff with this business when I questioned a price under their "low price guarantee". I had a question about 1 item that we thought we had just seen at another store for a lower price. The manager (I assume) was very curt in his insistence that it wasn't lower. We told him we weren't trying to cause a commotion, just asking. He insisted on loudly calling the other store to check, & then said "Here will you tell this lady what your price is?" My wife said at that point, "we believe you that's not necessary", to which he replied, "no, I want you to hear this for yourself". He was very loud, confrontational & rude. Needless to say, he lost not only that sale but the full $1000 or so we had intended to buy. Worked out for the best as we found everything we needed elsewhere for some less money & were treated with respect!
