I was primary caregiver to my father, who passed away with ALS. Apria Healthcare was the company that took care of us. They were absolutely awesome! Every question & every need were taken care of immediately. An Apria consultant trained me for 1 week on the respirator. Everything they did was so comforting at a time like this. The consultants, by phone or personal visit, were so personable & helpful. They always did their best to handle any problem. I always knew they were just a call away. Even on the day my father passed away, I called & asked them to please pick up their equipment because I didn't want my mother to have to wake up in that room with his empty bed & equipment. I called late in the afternoon, and Apria was there to pick it all up by 9 p.m. that night. I named the respirator my father was on the "Maserati." It was absolutely top of the line, along with all other supplies & equipment. Apria helped us through this time more than they will ever know.
