Physicians of the past did not have the power to make a difference as they do today. Due to the increased attention, scrutiny and regulation of medicine, physicians must think more clearly about disease and human behavior. For Dr. Boggs, physicians who effectively deliver care are ones who can separate themselves from their peers, be recognized as an individual of tangible benefit and are able to master an evolving and expanding field of knowledge and use it to benefit patients. He believes medicine is the most exciting and rapidly expanding field of scientific endeavor. Healthcare today should be delivered promptly, discreetly, effectively, affordably and cooperatively. As a physician, he is proud to be a member of a profession reaching back to the beginning of history - an occupation that has produced some of the most capable and accomplished physicians who have ever lived. Chris Boggs, MD, has been involved in family practice since 1996. He received his medical degree from Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. Dr. Boggs completed his internship and residency at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Anderson, South Carolina. He is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, National Board of Medical Examiners and South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians.
