Affiliated Community Medical Centers was established in 1971 with the merger of Willmar Clinic and the Lakeland Medical Center. Affiliated Community Medical Centers is one of the largest and health care networks in southwest Minnesota. It maintains more than 10 clinics that serve over five local hospitals and nearly 1,000 patients throughout the region. Its clinics employ approximately 150 physicians and practitioners and feature more than 20 specialty departments. Affiliated Community Medical Centers specializes in the areas of allergy, audiology, family medicine, dermatology, geriatrics, gastroenterology, pediatrics, oncology, neurology and orthopedic surgery. It also provides treatment and care services in the areas of cardiology, hematology, rheumatology, plastic surgery, occupational medicine, pain management and physical therapy. Its clinics additionally offer a range of imaging services, such as X-ray, ultrasound, echocardiography, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, mammography and bone densitometry.
