Provided by YP.comThis is only some of my concerns that I addressed in my correspondance to General Manager Rick Brewer after having stayed at Gaden Valley in April 2012. I was not even graced with a response! According to his daughter - who acts as the Resort's booking agent, we stayed at their "busiest weekend of the year" because they were hosting the Brookshire's golf tournament. If this reflects their "best" I would hate to see an average weekend. The facilities were in poor repair - needing paint and general maintenance. The outside pool was dirty as was the inside pool. Likewise the inside pool's heater was broken. Cable Channels were non-existent, the ac leaked water through the kitchen light, the stove only worked on high and was small, the kitchen utensils were old and small and barely functioned, the workout equipment - while it looked good - was only for show because all of the resistance shocks were damaged and the video games had no batteries for the remotes so we were unable to determine if they functioned or not. Our room also had spider eggs attached to the bedspread. Warning the rooms are definitely NOT handicap accessible. Basically we paid $279.00 a night to stay not at a resort, but rather at a fishing camp. We were very disappointed. While the golf course was enjoyed by the golfers in our group - I would not waste my money going to this resort with many real "Resort" options to choose from in the same area.
