LI-COR Biosciences is one of the leaders in the design and manufacture of instrument systems for environmental and biotechnology research in the United States. Founded in 1971, the company s instruments for photosynthesis, greenhouse gas analysis and light measurement are recognized worldwide for standard-setting innovation in plant science research and environmental monitoring. Based in Lincoln, Neb., LI-COR Biosciences has licensed certain elements of the LI-7700 that it developed with expertise from Southwest Sciences Inc. It is one of the pioneers in the development of infrared fluorescence labeling and detection systems for different areas, such as drug discovery, genomics and small animal in vivo imaging.
