Courteous and capable people but with questionable business ethics. Couldn't repair a pedestal sink faucet because of copious amount of silicone used by original installers, and faucet handle was not usable after wrenching it off. So they had me pick out a new quite expensive faucet from a catalog. Meanwhile they stripped out all the Kohler parts and left with them. If all the Kohler parts have part numbers, why couldn't they just order the broken part from the distributor? By the next week the new faucet was in (though not the one I selected from the catalog, which wasn't in stock). I was charged $716.74 for 3 hrs./labor, repairs to the kitchen faucet, the new bathroom faucet, and (of course) the "fuel fee."

Was quoted $900 for labor and materials to install a water heater. Once they learned it was a "power-vent" the price went to $2,300 ($1,300 for the heater and the rest labor). I told them "no" and agreed to pay them $200 for their time. (he asked me to pay 1/2 half of 2 hours at $200/hour!!!) Granted it was a Saturday afternoon and he claimed I was paying double time. I then went and purchased a new "power-vent" heater for $850 and called another plumber who came and installed it for $400 ... including ALL labor, parts and permits. The second plumber completed the job in 1 1/2 hours. My total cost was $1,250 INCLUDING labor .... less than what he claimed JUST the heater would cost. Opps ... my bad, I guess it really cost me $1,450 when you figure I had to pay them $200 to leave. Sorry but this really chaps my hide!

After calling three other plumbers, Martinez was the only one who returned my call. I had them install a claw foot tub shower riser and curtain rod I had already purchased, a relatively simple job. They were on time, courteous, and attentive to detail. They worked well with a plumbing supply company to make some modifications to a couple of parts I had overlooked. The work was well done and cleaned up nicely afterward. I am very satisfied with the installation. I did, however, suffer a case of "sticker shock" when they charged me $110/hour plus gasoline surcharge. My bill for about 5 1/2 hours of work was nearly $750! My fault. I should have asked for an estimate! I would probably use them again, though, because of some of the awful plumber stories I have heard/experienced in the past.

He & his son were on time,very kind and took care of the problem fast. It was a very nice service. Recommend

Charged me $90.00 labor for 1/2 hours worth of work (replaced a shower head) that's $180.00 per hour for labor alone! Talk about highway robbery! I don't know how they sleep at night ripping off a working man like myself. They billed me $125.00 total! I would definitely NOT recommend them, unless you have money to burn! Would have given them zero stars, but had to give them at least one to post this review.
