      General Info

      Foundations Progressive Learning Center's facility, located in a shared cooperative building alongside a doctor's office, was a licensed childcare center prior to Foundations stepping in and taking over. To become Foundations, the space underwent a lot of structural, superficial, and safety renovations. Below is a list of the most important facility security specifics. * Professional Security System * Individual door chimes * Self-locking exit/entrance doors * All exterior doors equipped with high handles * Video surveillance (we have chosen not to broadcast our security cameras in order to protect our students' privacy) * Automated sign in/out with notifications and alerts sent to parents' phones * All entry and exit activity monitored and approved or denied by staff members * Open door policy allows visitation by parents and approved visitors at all times of day without appointment * Classroom kept away from exterior windows to protect students' privacy and storm safety * Tall privacy fence around outdoor play area * Guilt-free parent checkups - request updates, photos, and communication at any time of day

      Foundations Progressive Learning Center is a modern, forward-thinking learning environment for children ages three to six, where students engage in natural, creative, and active learning. Our students learn with a balance of working one-on-one with teachers, cooperatively in small groups, and independently with practical life skills. While we prepare the children for kindergarten, our curriculum also incorporates self-help and independence skills most schools don't teach, such as buttoning and zipping clothing, tying shoes, pouring and serving their own beverages and food, picking up after themselves, conflict resolution, and learning healthy emotional management. Foundations operates on the knowledge that children need to find and identify interest in order to build strong connections with the world around them. When we find these interests, we build our curriculum on it to teach children not only what they need to know before kindergarten, but also how to love learning and follow where their interests lead them. Our center was developed by childcare and parenting specialists to lead by example that it is possible to provide an honest, ethical, and functional childcare center to our community that works to do right by the children they teach, the parents they serve, and the teachers they employ. Foundations will be starting service on February 12th, but will officially open on February 16th, 2015. Enroll today to secure a slot for your child!

      Parents of children at Foundations can enjoy: * Their child's rekindled love of learning and school as well as knowing their child is in a secure facility with people who really care about their field. * An environment that welcomes them rather than pushing them out of the door. We invite all of our parents to drop off their children early and enjoy free coffee and juice to catch up with staff and see all of the things their children want to show them! * A secure building with only staff-approved entrance. Our door is locked all day and only staff are allowed to open it - no worrying about who might have picked up a key! * An easy and convenient clock-in/clock-out system that helps you track their child's attendance. At enrollment, each parent receives a PIN number as well as different PINs for any other person who is allowed to drop off/pick up their child(ren). We can even set our kiosk to notify you by text or email at each clock-in/clock-out. * Multiple convenient methods for payment to match every financial situation. * TUITION REWARDS PROGRAM! * An open-door policy that allows parents and approved visitors visitation for any period of time at any time. * An phone application that allows staff to send photos of their child(ren) learning and playing - especially on momentous occasions. * Daily emails that explain the activities of the group and pictures of the fun!
      Associations
      Foundations Progressive Learning Center is located on the lower level of the building that houses the North Lincoln Family Medical Center on 14th and Adams. By turning left or right into the Medical Center from 14th St, there is a driveway that directs into our parking lot. Westbound Adams St. allows for right turns into our parking lot, but Eastbound Adams St. does not have a left turning lane.
