  Don represented The Lima News for many years and this led to cases in local trial courts and the Ohio and U. S. Supreme Courts. Don’s current practice is specialized in the forming of corporations and LLCs, business sales and acquisitions, corporate and business law, wills, estate and trust planning, and the probate of estates. Don is admitted to practice before the Federal District Court, Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and U. S. Court of Military Appeals. Among his practice highlights are the representation of a family in obtaining a $1.4 million settlement in a products liability case and the sale at Christie’s in New York for $1 million of a painting thought to be worthless by the heirs of the estate.

  After college, he worked as a paralegal for a large Columbus law firm. He graduated from Capital University, Order of the Curia, and Law Review, in 1988. Bob’s practice focuses primarily on estate planning, real estate, and business law. He is a member of the Allen County and State of Ohio Bar Associations. He has chaired the probate committee of the Allen County Bar Association.

Dalton also has experience in business litigation and the enforcement of member/partner/shareholder’s rights in ongoing business concerns. He regularly advises clients regarding Landlord Tenant Law.

  The focus of his practice is civil litigation, including insurance defense and insurance coverage issues, but AL also represents deserving plaintiffs in cases of serious personal injury and wrongful death. AL is an ardent supporter of the Second Amendment and consults with clients regularly regarding firearms laws and CCW issues.

  Bob serves as a Council Member to the Probate, Trust and Estate Planning Section of the Ohio State Bar Association. The Council drafts and lobbies for approval of legislation to improve the estate planning, trust and probate environment of Ohio citizens and lawyers. He is a frequent lecturer to the public and his peers on various estate planning and real estate topics, and two of his articles have been selected for publication in The Probate Law Journal of Ohio, a valuable resource to probate practitioners.
