Established in 1939, Franklin Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s basic curriculum includes instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music and physical education. Franklin Elementary School organizes book fairs, carnivals and intervention sessions. In addition, the school offers health and food services. Its library media center houses a variety of storybooks, quiz books, encyclopedias and puzzles. Franklin Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that conducts various events for parents, teachers and students. It employs a librarian, speech therapist and guidance counselor, as well as classroom teachers, support staff members and a nurse.
