South Valley Junior High School is a part of the Liberty Public School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Established in 2004, South Valley Junior High School serves students in grades eight and nine. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies, and family and consumer science. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in vocal and instrumental music, orchestra, drama, debate, ceramics and traditional art. In addition, South Valley Junior High School offers foreign language programs in French, Spanish and German. It provides medical care, speech therapy, and guidance and counseling services to students. The school supports a variety of sports activities, such as football, soccer, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, softball, baseball, golf, cross country, track and field, swimming, tennis and cheerleading.
