The Arc of South Carolina is committed to securing for all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, and work. The Arc of SC is a grassroots organization founded over fifty-two years ago and is an affiliated chapter of The Arc of the United States. The Arc of the US advocates at a national level for the rights and full participation of all children and adults with intellectual and cognitive disabilities. Since 1950, The Arc, in conjunction with it's state chapters, has provided leadership in the areas of advocacy, education, public awareness, prevention and research. The Arc of SC subscribes to The Core Values of The Arc
