I had my Chevy truck's air conditioner replaced there 2 months ago. This required removing the serpentine belt. Sunday September 20 my truck started making noise. I looked under the hood and the tensioner pivot wasnt moving. Under closer inspection it looked like the serpentine belt was installed not in accordance with the diagram on the truck. I took my truck back to Georgia's and asked them to look it over and pointed out what I thought was a problem with the belt. I was called back and assured the belt had been installed correctly. They then said it would cost 65 dollars to fix the tensioner pivot. When I got to the shop the price was now 85. Thats a 30 % inflation of the price. In addition to the price gouging, when I looked at the serpentine belt on my truck, it was now installed in the correct method that followed the diagram. So when they told me that belt had been installed correctly when they replaced the ac compressor two months ago, they lied and then overcharged me to fix

I took my car there in may of 07 for an engine repair. They were fully confident that they could do this repair and took on the job. I had good reviews as well to back my reasoning for taking my vehicle there. It took 5 months and they never called with status or permission for certain repairs. When i got the car back, the knock sensor was throwing my engine light and they denied this saying that it was a bad sensor. 7 days after I picked it up, then engine blew, spinning a rod bearing and breaking a connecting rod, completely destroying the engine. They refuse to give a work order and will not warranty the repairs even though they were paid in full by my insurance company for labor with a 12/12 warranty. This place does not come recommended by me if you ever want to see your car again. I am currently in law suit with them if you were wondering where we stand currently.
Since I began college in Lexington in 1999 I have taken my vehicles to Georgia's. The service is very good and they do a great job of communicating. I have suggested the shop to several and all have been pleased. The location is great and the hours are very good (even on the weekends).
Took a car there over a month ago, paid for the "repair", and it was never fixed. Finally got a call to say it was fixed and they wanted us to pay for it again. One set of keys got locked in a tool chest, so we had to take our spare set to them. Mechanic that locked the keys away is no longer working there. We do not have a work order and they will not give us one until they receive another payment. Replaced parts that were not broken. Will we ever get our car back?
