Founded in 1937, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Housing Authority offers a range of housing and accommodation services for individuals and families. It manages more than 1,000 public housing units and over 2,000 Section 8 vouchers. The authority administers homeownership and rental assistance programs for tenants and owners. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Housing Authority provides property procurement and development, as well as housing management services. It also offers elderly housing units on a rental basis. The authority s housing units feature exercise, computer, craft, billiards, recreation and dining rooms. In addition, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Housing Authority provides residential housing units on a lease basis.
