West Shore School District operates elementary, middle and high schools in grades kindergarten through 12. It provides education in various subjects, including reading, math, physical education, English, driver education, science, social studies, special education, industrial technology, foreign language, and family and consumer science. The school offers various sports activities, such as volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, football, golf, cheerleading, cross country, and track and field. It also offers a variety of extracurricular activities that include choir, band, spelling bee, drill team, National honor Society, marching band, newspaper, jazz band and student council. The school has a guidance department that offers an online program which provides information on career planning and scholarships to students. West Shore School District provides education to more than 8,000 students and is located in New Cumberland, Pa.
