Bestcare, established in 1981 and headquartered in Levitown, N.Y., is a home health care organization. It has established more than eight offices throughout the New York metropolitan area, including Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties, and New Jersey. It is licensed by the New York State Department of Health and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. In New Jersey, Bestcare is licensed to provide services as Bestcare Home Health Services and Western-Eden Medical Services. It provides a variety of services 24-hours, seven-days a week, including physical, occupational and speech therapies, Medicaid supplies and transportation. Additionally, the organization provides an insurance specialist who assists clients by interfacing with insurance companies and third-party payers. Bestcare s staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, home health and personal care aides, homemakers, and companions. The organization also has a field staff that communicates and provides language-specific services in Spanish, Russian, Creole and Chinese.
