The north section in Leonia has been open for many years but last year, the southern part was renovated, a new environmentally friendly bridge was installed to cross the Overpeck; new playing fields in the Ridgefield Park section, walking/biking/jogging trails begin in Leonia and head over to Ridgefield Park. Amphitheater on the Ridgefield Park side has had concerts. Watch the horses go through their paces on the Leonia side. Dog park is on the north side, kayak/canoe launch on the south side. Load s of parking and beautiful views of the creek/lake. Incredible to have this treasure 5 minutes from the GWB. Bus 172 from the NY side of the GWBBS takes you down Fort Lee Road to the entrance of the park (or Rockland Bus line 11A runs on Grand Avenue and stops at Fort Lee Road (2 blocks east of the park).
