Charles and Mary Barger established Barger & Sons in 1967. The company produces a variety of watertight concrete structures for the wastewater industry and distributes concrete tanks throughout the United States. It has an on-site sewer technology division that specializes in the installation of specialized engineered systems, tanks, manufacturing tanks and troubleshooting existing systems. The company s product line includes grease and grit separators, septic and pump tanks, fire cisterns, storm shelters, booster station vaults, meter pits, valve pits, parking curbs, stepping stones, post supports, corner blocks, water storage tanks, custom concrete applications, control station housing, catch basins, sampling wells and valve box collars. Headquarted in Harriman, Tenn., Barger & Sons has a branch office in Kingston, Tenn. It is one of the plants in East Tennessee that specializes in tank manufacturing. The National Precast Concrete Association certified the company s manufacturing facility in 2005.
