My dog was taken to this hospital with a wet hacking cough I told the vet on duty that he had been rammed in the neck with a huge syringe of antibiotic.I asked if there was a connection twice between the coughing and the antibiotic. In three minutes with no testing she insisted that he had congestive heart failure.I told her that was not true. I alwys had my dog's heart checked. He had a normal heart and no murmue. She insisted that he had CHF. She ordered oxygen and lasiks. She said his throat was closed bcause he was born with too much flesh. My dog had no trouble eating or drinking for eight years To make a long stpry short my dog was having an allergic reaction to penicillin.Instead of giving him a shot of Benedryl to reverse the allergic reaction, they did a tracheotomy on mt dog and sent me to U of Florida. My dog died from a collapsed tracheotomy. All health records show that my dog had a normal heart.A meeting was held. I was not allowed to attend. They found their care proper.

I took my dog there to board him. When I came back and they gave him to me he was like a completely different dog. He used to be a very happy and friendly dog. But now he cowers as if he were abused. All his paws were completely red, one of his paws was cut completely open and bleeding. His leg had open cuts and he was covered in feces. He was in pain. After this happened I will never take him back there again! I will not recommend this to anyone either! Some one told me after I shared my experience that there was a report in the Orlando sentinel about a Leesburg Veterinary Hospital. You can look it up on Orlando Sentinel website. They are supposed to be vets which care and love animals. But just looking at my dog tells a different story.
