Woodland Elementary School, founded in 2001, provides education to students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Its academic curriculum includes reading, writing, language, grammar, mathematics, science and social studies. The school also provides classes in arts, music, band and physical education. Additionally, it provides food and transportation services. Woodland Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 600 students and is a part of the Lee's Summit R-7 School District, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools. The district also provides various sports activities that include baseball, basketball, softball, swimming, tennis, volleyball, and track and field. Additionally, the district administers before and after school programs in elementary schools. Woodland Elementary School is located in Lee s Summit, Mo.
