Established in 1922, Lee's Summit Elementary School serves more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school has partnerships with DeVouton, Outback Steakhouse, Summit East Plaza Apartments, Lee's Summit Journal and Bank Midwest. Its staff members include speech pathologist, special education coordinator, librarian, counselor and occupational therapists. Lee's Summit Elementary School provides special classes in band, art, music, orchestra, physical education and reading. The school s academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies and language arts. Located in Lee's Summit, Mo., its library and media center houses a collection of storybooks, puzzles, picture dictionaries, newspapers and encyclopedias. Lee's Summit Elementary School is governed by the Lee's Summit School District.
