To help older persons live comfortable and secure lives, Otterbein pursues its Christian ministry through excellence, innovation, and integrity by developing covenant relationships with: ABOUT US: On land purchased from the Shakers, the original Otterbein Home was established in Lebanon, Ohio in 1912. Otterbein has since grown to encompass six continuing care retirement communities in Ohio. Our Mission Statement: In keeping with our United Methodist tradition, we seek to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of older persons.
