Construction Specialties was founded in 1948 by Edward and Mary Ellen Hallock in Newark, N.J. The firm hired its first shop employee in 1954 and filled its first large order (10,000 extruded aluminum louvers) in 1955. Now Construction Specialists now has 22 offices worldwide including offices including North and South America, Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe. The firm is a provider of architectural specialty and custom design products. Construction Specialists offers design assistance, consultation and products, which include wall protectants, louvers, grilles and sun controls, expansion joint covers, venting and more than 12 different styles of entrance flooring. The company holds in excess of 75 patents worldwide.
