For many years, I was a loyal and on-time paying customer of Cannon, however a couple of months ago I found a security system that I thought would be a better fit for my familys current needs. I called Cannon, not once, but twice to inquire as to whether or not I was still under contract with them and twice they told me that I was no longer under contract, therefore I go ahead and have the new alarm system installed. Once the new system is installed, I call to cancel Cannon and all of a sudden they tell me that I am under contract for another year and a half. Next, they have their big partner company Alarm Funding Associates in PA send me a letter saying that I will have to pay out the contract with a copy of the contract attached (literally highlighted to outline the pertinent terms).
