We started looking for a place for Mom, it was stressful. I didn't want to place her in a nursing home. She's independent for her age and I wanted to find the best place possible, especially after everything that she has done for me. I knew that I wanted to keep her close, while still making her feel like she is in her own home with her own privacy. Horizon Place told us of how small the facility was and that it allowed for a warm and caring community. They told us of different activities the place had to offer and showed us an apartment. As soon as I walked in I knew this was the place. I started thinking to myself of how I would layout Moms things. I wasnt so sure about the price initially, but when they explained everything, such as cares, that were included in the price I felt so much more inclined to have Mom stay there.Mom moved in shortly after. She loves Bingo and talking with the other ladies that live there. I love that the staff cares about her almost as much as I do.
