- Colon Cancer
- EndoscopyEndoscopy is a procedure that involves inserting a long, thin tube into the body to conduct an internal health examination. Gastroenterologists perform endoscopies on an outpatient basis. Patients must fast for 8 hours prior and will be under sedation during the procedure. After the procedure, patients may have a sore throat or feel groggy and should avoid driving for 24 hours.

- Nuclear MedicineNuclear medicine imaging serves to diagnose or care for any anomaly within a patient’s anatomy and its operation during the beginning stages of illness. Patients undergoing nuclear medicine should understand the procedure is relatively painless and the exposure to radiation is compatible to that of a diagnostic x-ray.
- Computed TomographyYour medical provider will call you soon after your screening to explain your results and discuss any additional necessary medical care. If the CT scan were to detect any potentially cancerous nodules, another screening may be needed after a few months to monitor your lungs’ conditions. Regardless of your results, annual screenings are recommended, as yearly low-dose CT scans have been shown to decrease mortality in patients who had increased risk due to smoking.
