- Primary CareThe treating of patients is traditionally done in three distinctive ways: preventive care, management of chronic illnesses, and treatment of acute conditions. Preventive care focuses on the “dos and don’ts” that avoid the initiation or aggravation of medical conditions. It usually falls in the hands of a Primary Care Provider (PCP). The management of chronic (recognized and established) illnesses, which is also handled by the PCP and/or Specialist, requires long term care. Acute (new or sudden) conditions can be classified as Emergencies or Urgencies.
- Ear Infections
- Family PracticeUrgent Care Centers are usually staffed by Board Certified Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine doctors and experienced Mid Level Providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) that deliver high quality care. Most facilities offer on-site X-rays and labs. Typical services include: repair of simple and moderate lacerations; initial management of uncomplicated fractures, dislocations and sprains; minor burns and sun burns; upper respiratory infections, ear and sinus infections; vomiting and diarrhea and other gastrointestinal conditions; genitourinary complaints, skin rashes, poison ivy, boils, insect bites, seasonal and other allergic reactions, sport injuries, travel medicine, work-related injuries, and various physical exams among others.
- Emergency CareYou find yourself in need for immediate medical treatment and cannot see your doctor on short notice. Where do you go? The answer is the urgent care center.
- Flu Shots
- ElectrocardiogramA required comprehensive physical exam for civilian contract workers who will be deployed overseas to work alongside the US military. This exam usually includes a comprehensive battery of lab tests according to specific requirements, chest X rays, EKG, PPD/TB test, audiometry, color vision testing, and immunizations.
- Diarrhea
- ImmunizationsImmunization Titers, ABO/Rh, and other serology tests are sent out. Blood samples are drawn and collected on site. Turnaround times depend on the nature of the test ordered. Samples can be processed at our reference lab or at one of your choosing.
- Lung CancerCrystalline Silica is a common mineral that is found in materials such as sand, stone, artificial stone, concrete, and mortar. When workers cut, grind, or drill materials that contain crystalline silica or use industrial sand, they can be exposed to very small silica dust particles. These tiny particles (known as “respirable” particles) can travel deep into workers’ lungs and cause silicosis, an incurable and sometimes deadly lung disease. Respirable crystalline silica also causes lung cancer, other potentially debilitating respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and kidney disease. In most cases, these diseases occur after years of exposure to respirable crystalline silica.
- ThyroidA comprehensive physical evaluation designed to determine current health status and to screen for health risks such as hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disease, weight imbalance, high cholesterol/lipids among others. It includes a thorough past medical history and lifestyle review and discussion of required additional tests, appropriate treatment options or referrals. A variety of optional tests are available to be ordered according to each patient’s needs and complexity of the exam.
